Good morning, We begin with a tragedy in Butler County. State police are investigating a two-alarm house fire that claimed two lives yesterday afternoon on Old Route Sixty-Eight in Forward Township. Dispatchers say a woman called to report a couch on fire before the line went silent. First responders found the home engulfed, later discovering two deceased victims inside.Meanwhile, a late-night fire heavily damaged a downtown New Castle business. Crews rushed to North Mercer Street just after ten last night, where intense flames broke out at Giovanni’s Salon and Spa. The storefront suffered extensive damage, and the cause remains under investigation.And in Boardman, state troopers are investigating a holiday crash that sent three people to the hospital. A man, a woman, and a baby were hospitalized following a two-vehicle wreck near East Midlothian Boulevard.
